I won't be seeing Jason until Weds. He works every night until then, and I work every day. He still has to work Weds. night, but I will get to see him beforehand at least.
*pity party for one*
We are going to have to schedule some time for present shopping soon. So far I've done it all by myself.
So, who has a tree decorated and/or some presents wrapped already?
Hello, obligatory new member intro post.
I was pointed here by darkstar
- thanks for the invite. :)
Normally I don't have to spend a lot of time away from my hubby, but he recently got activated and so now we're going to be spending a year apart. Major bummer.
Hello to everyone, I'll post something more substantial when my brain is not so tired.
Welcome to all the new members! Glad to have you here. :)
So, how are you all handling the holidays? Do you both have time off that you can spend together? Do you celebrate on a different day because of work or distance?
My husband and i both have Thursday, Friday, and Saturday off, so we'll get an amazing amount of time together this weekend! i am so excited. :)
I've done some of the cooking for tomorrow already this evening to make it easier. We're having Thanksgiving in our new house for the first time, and my parents and my aunt and uncle are going to come over.
Happy holiday, everyone.

I just came across this community, and I think it's a fabulous idea. Thank you to whomever created it.
My name is Karla, and my husband's name is Jason. We have an almost 8 year old little girl (Madeline, or Boo), and a four month old little boy (Alexander Augustus, or Secret Agent Smeet). We have been together almost six years, and married for four years in May '05.
Jason is the Audio Engineer at http://www.bluecatslive.com/
Needless to say, we are on completely opposite schedules. His job coupled with his other responsibilities make it pretty difficult for us to see each other. He is Co-Owner of Knoxgothic.com, and a partner and DJ for Sanctus, a monthly event that we have here. He's also in band. There are great perks to the things that he has a share in, but I'd really just rather be able to see him more. *I feel a virtual pout coming on*
My daily life is more about getting the Boo to school, the Smeet to my Mother's house, and me to work. I work at a spa, so I have great hours that very conducive to having family time. Sanctus is on the third Sunday of every month, so it's pretty hard to arrange for me to *go out*, and hang out with him while he spins. I DID get to go to a Cramps show he did in September. That was nice, although I didn't really get to hang out with him, and I could've done without seeing Lux in spandex. Ewwwww.....
To sum up: This community seems to be very nice, and a needed thing. I look forward to getting to know you. :)
I just had to share that Spydrman is getting this Thursday and Friday off for Thanksgiving. That means he will only be working one day this week, and will be with me the whole rest of the week.
Hey guys, Spooky here.My husband is gone for a few months out of the year for business. He goes to Japan a few times a year, and he usually brings me back goodies to make up for the absence.I know that a lot of us are Goth Mom's on here, too.
This is Liam Ehren, he's 3.He has autism and is in special school.Yes, my son rides the short bus.His favorite band is the Cruxshadows.
This is Ewan Alexander. He's 4.Hes on his way to being gother than any of us.His favorite bands are Frankenstein and 45 Grave!
This is my Uber Spooky kittie.Zoe is wayyyyy Diva.Shes the "other woman".If she's sleeping on David and I try to touch her, I get cut.
Do any of you have a weird or uber-cute pet name for your loved one? David is called "Monkey" more than he is called David...hehehe... I don't even remember how that started, but he answers to it and thinks nothing of it.
I think this is a great idea :)
My husband works at Intel where they do 12 hour shifts. He is currently working days- but I am working nights, so 3-4 days a week we don't see each other AT ALL. I leave for work before he gets home and he leaves while I'm sleeping. He just found out he got a position in Albuquerque so we will be moving soon and when we do- he will be working nights again 7pm to 7am. SUCKS!!! I'm afraid he will sleep his entire weekends away again *sigh*
I joined! I'm not a wife yet..but I may as well be, since we pretty much live the same life of a married couple. :-)
Me and my boy, David...( More pics...Collapse )
That's all for now. :-)
